Casongo — Spin & Win: AFCON × New Year Edition
The second Casongo ad — the same AI-consistent character returns, sucked through the portal once more into a Casongo world now supercharged with AFCON 2025–2026 energy and New Year celebration vibes.
The Brief
Casongo needed a follow-up to their first AI-generated casino ad — one that could capitalise on two cultural moments happening simultaneously: AFCON 2025–2026 and the New Year period. The challenge: bring back the same character from the original ad (maintaining full AI consistency), raise the energy level of the animated world, and integrate a direct product hook for Casongo's AFCON betting bonus.

The Sequel Setup: Same Character, Deeper World
The film opens exactly where the audience last left the character — in a live-action African night market, same denim jacket, same energy. This continuity was intentional: returning viewers recognize him immediately, new viewers get introduced to a grounded, relatable protagonist before the world breaks open. Character consistency across AI generations is one of the hardest technical challenges in AI film production. This sequel maintains the exact same face, build, style, and personality across both the live-action and animated sequences.

A World More Vivid Than Before
The Casongo animated world has evolved. Where the first ad established the space, this sequel inhabits it fully — richer colours, more dynamic action, a wider cast of AI-generated characters and creatures. The palette is built on deep aurora borealis greens and purples, gold coin surfaces, and the electric blue of the interdimensional portal. Every frame is designed to feel like a comic book panel in motion.

AFCON × New Year: The Thematic Fusion
The creative heart of this sequel is the collision of two celebrations. On one side, an African reimagining of Christmas and New Year — Santa Claus arrives not on reindeer but on a sleigh pulled by a pack of leopards, raining coins from a drone overhead. On the other, the DRC national football team's AFCON campaign — rendered as an anthropomorphic leopard in the DRC jersey, delivering a thunderous kick that sends a golden coin-ball through the back of the net.

The Return and the Product Moment
The film closes with the character stepping back out of the portal into the real-world market — now holding a glowing golden football. The world behind him has changed him; the prizes are real. The final frames cut to a hand holding a phone showing the Casongo app, with the Spécial CAN banner front and centre: “Chaque jour un nouveau bonus!” and a completed winning bet on DRC vs Benin. The story pays off directly in the product.

Production
The entire film was produced with AI — the same pipeline as the original Casongo ad, now pushed further in every dimension: more characters, more locations within the animated world, more complex action sequences, and a direct hybrid between live-action footage and AI animation. The live-action sequences were shot, the animated world was generated, and both were blended through the portal transition — a technique refined from the first film.
Maintaining character consistency across the live-action and animated sequences — the same face at the same age, with the same wardrobe and proportions — required careful prompt engineering and iterative generation passes. The leopard mascot, African Santa, and animated world environments were all built to coexist coherently within the same visual language: comic-book line work, saturated colour, aurora borealis atmosphere.
Result
A 30-second sequel campaign film that deepens the Casongo fictional universe, ties into two major cultural moments (AFCON 2025–2026 and the New Year), and lands on a direct product integration for the app's AFCON bonus feature. Produced entirely with AI, maintaining the character and world established in the first film.
Outcome
A fully AI-produced sequel campaign film maintaining strict character consistency with the original ad, blending live-action-to-animation transitions with AFCON football iconography, an African Santa on a leopard-pulled sleigh, and a direct product integration of the Casongo AFCON bonus feature.
