A national-scale mobile network campaign film crafted from a modest local antenna shoot, using AI-generated environments, compositing, and drone integration to deliver a cinematic, broadcast-ready spot.

Cellfie needed a campaign film that matched the scale of a national network, but the production was captured at a modest local antenna site. The task was to transform this limited source material into a cinematic, broadcast-grade statement about coverage, signal strength, and network pride.

The Brief

Cellfie’s production team supplied plate footage from a small antenna location. From this, the campaign film needed to:

  • Replace the background with a dramatically larger, more cinematic environment.
  • Introduce wide aerial and drone-style compositions to sell national reach.
  • Seamlessly blend all elements into a single, cohesive ad.

Our Approach

We structured the film as a three-layer composite:

1. Background Replacement

The original antenna plate was isolated and placed into a new, expansive environment: a hilltop antenna field at golden hour, with towers rising through rolling cloud cover and morning fog. This new backdrop delivered the epic infrastructural scale the original location couldn’t provide.

2. Wide Shot Construction

We built a dramatic aerial establishing shot: multiple transmission towers punctuating a fog-filled valley at sunrise, backlit by a warm horizon. This environment was AI-generated to precisely match the look, light, and camera angle of the live-action footage, enabling seamless cuts between the hero plate and the wider world.

3. Drone Footage Integration

Real drone passes from the antenna site were composited into the AI-generated environments. This grounded the spot in physical reality while giving the cinematography the scope and coverage of a multi-day aerial shoot.

All layers were unified through consistent colour grading and atmospheric treatment: haze, volumetric light, and a warm golden-hour palette that carried across every cut.

Generated wide shots from the production images.

The Result

The final deliverable was a single, comprehensive campaign film that felt like it was shot across multiple days and locations. From one studio shoot and one real drone pass, Cellfie gained a broadcast-ready ad with the visual presence of a major national carrier—delivered on an independent production budget.

Outcome

Delivered a cohesive, broadcast-ready campaign film that felt like a multi-day, multi-location national carrier shoot, built from a single studio session and one real drone pass, elevating Cellfie’s perceived scale, reach, and network strength on an independent production budget.
