A glowing firefly brought to life through AI-powered VFX for Touch Summit's Facebook advertising campaign. Starting from raw live-action footage of a hand, we composited a photorealistic bioluminescent firefly — complete with volumetric light spill, particle embers, and atmospheric haze — transforming a simple shot into a cinematic visual that stopped the scroll.

Tsitsinatela: Bringing the Firefly to Life with AI VFX

For Group Tsitsinatela’s Facebook campaign, we transformed a simple, intimate live-action shot into a cinematic, scroll-stopping visual that embodies the brand’s name — Tsitsinatela, meaning “firefly” in Georgian.

Starting from a warm, low-light close-up of cupped hands, we used AI-powered visual effects to composite a photorealistic, bioluminescent firefly hovering above the open palm. Translucent wings, a segmented body, and a glowing abdomen were integrated with:

  • Volumetric light spill that casts a green-gold glow onto the skin, matching the original lighting
  • Luminous particle embers drifting from the firefly to add atmosphere and motion
  • Subtle atmospheric haze and bloom to wrap the light and sit naturally in the warm color palette
  • Careful color grading to ensure the VFX feels captured in-camera rather than added in post
